Notre Dame, Ind.- The UIC women's tennis team capped off another strong season with an NCAA Women's Tennis Championship First Round match against sixth-seeded Notre Dame at the Courtney Tennis Center on Saturday morning. The Flames fell to the seventh-ranked Irish by a 4-0 decision to conclude a season that featured UIC's 11th consecutive Horizon League Championship and ninth straight trip to NCAA postseason play. "With four new players and only three returnees, [getting to the NCAA Tournament] was a huge accomplishment in a transition year," said UIC head coach Shannon Tully. "I was really proud of my younger girls." UIC finishes the season at 14-8 overall.
