Women's Tennis Wins Twice At League Championships, Looks For Seventh Consecutive Title On Sunday|

Indianapolis, Ind. - Same ol', same ol' for the UIC women's tennis team on Saturday at the Horizon League Championships.
UIC blanked Cleveland State (4-0) and UW-Green Bay (5-0) as the top-seeded Flames now play #2 Butler in the championships match on Sunday for the fifth consecutive year at 10:00 a.m.
UIC will also be searching for its seventh-straight league title, which would tie Notre Dame for consecutive league championships.
Versus Cleveland State, the Flames quickly took the doubles point, as Nicole Derouin and Corey Steven teamed in the top spot to beat Aundrey Shade and Paulina Reyes, 8-2. Ayca Gumuscu and Molly Smith beat Amanda Cerny and Katie Shears, 8-0 at No.2 doubles.
In singles action Gumuscu defeated Reyes at No.2 singles, 6-0, 6-0, while Zvjezdana Malesevic beat Cerny, 6-0, 6-0, at No.4 singles.
Smith rounded out the match with a win over Shears at No.5
Versus UWGB, it was more of the same, as the Flames rolled.
After the Flames took the doubles point, Derouin, Gumuscu, Steven and Zvjezdana Malesevic each won a singles match to move UIC into the title tilt.
