    Milwaukee, Wis.- The University of Illinois women's tennis team closed out another dominating Horizon League regular season with an abbreviated yet convincing win over Wisconsin-Milwaukee, 6-0, in Milwaukee.

    The Flames (12-7, 7-0 Horizon League) finished conference play undefeated and lost only two dual match points in seven contests.

    With Beatriz Cabrera getting the day off, senior Ayca Gumuscu capped off her final regular season match with the Flames at the No. 1 singles spot, easily defeating Margie Van Lieshout 6-0, 6-1.

    Iris Jaklin looked sharp against Tammie Spiel to earn her seventh league singles victory, while Corey Steven returned to the lineup to grab a solid 6-1, 6-1 win over Megan Brown.

    UIC seeks its eighth straight conference title as the Flames head to Indianapolis to defend their Horizon League Championship starting this Friday.
