Women's Tennis Wins At Detroit
April 11, 2008 Detroit, Mich. - The UIC women's tennis team started off a three game road trip against league foes on a positive note, defeating Detroit 5-2 on Thursday afternoon. The Flames had little trouble with the Titans in doubles, sweeping all three matches with relative ease. The top three singles matches- Ilinca Cristescu at No. 1, Lubica Nadasska at the second slot and Kristen McPhillips playing No. 3 - all went in straight sets for UIC. Jenna Resich easily defeated Stephanie Hill at the sixth position for the Flames. UIC heads back west to Valparaiso, taking on the newest Horizon League member today at 3 p.m., and will stay in Indiana to face Wright State on Sunday at 10 a.m.
