Women's Tennis Defeats Florida Atlantic
March 15, 2008 Boca Raton, Fla. - The UIC women's tennis team picked up a win on the road Saturday afternoon, defeating Florida Atlantic, 4-3. The Flames snatched the doubles point from the Owls with a pair of 8-5 wins at the second and third positions. Ilinca Cristescu defeated FAU's Natalia Totevska in a three set battle, taking the match 6-3, 7-6 (1), 6-2. The freshman is now 10-10 in singles for the season, primarily at the first singles slot. Grace Gill-Morlis and Amy Jellish also picked up singles victories against FAU. UIC wraps-up its trip to the Sunshine State with Sunday's match-up against Lynn University at 9 a.m.
