    Dayton, Ohio- The University of Illinois at Chicago women's tennis team took the first match of a Horizon League doubleheader on Saturday, sweeping every match against Cleveland State in a 7-0 romp in Dayton.

    The Flames (5-4, 2-0 Horizon League) were unstoppable against the Vikings (4-9, 1-1 Horizon League). UIC swept the singles slate in straight sets while dominating the doubles portion, taking all three matches by a combined 24-3 score.

    Beatriz Cabrera looked sharp once again at No. 1 singles with a 6-0, 6-2 win over Sarah Galon, while reigning Horizon League Women's Tennis Athlete of the Week Corey Steven posted a 6-0, 6-2 win over Rebekah Bicksler at the fourth spot.

    Ayca Gumuscu was flawless in her 6-0, 6-0 victory against Morgan Ungerott, while Iris Jaklin, Athanasia Giannoulopoulou and Christina Oum were on top of their games as well with outstanding wins.

    The Flames resume Horizon League play against Wright State later today.
