Rockford, Ill.- The UIC women's tennis team had their three-match winning streak snapped on Saturday, as the Flames fell to Northern Illinois, 5-2, in Rockford.

UIC (4-5) received strong performances from junior Molly Smith and freshman Grace Gill-Morlis. The duo posted the Flames' only doubles win of the day, defeating Megan Brooks and Doris Delgadillo in an 8-5 match, while posting UIC's two singles victories.

Smith has now won six in a row with her 6-3, 6-0 victory over Daniela Martinez, while Gill-Morlis ran her current winning streak to five with a 6-2, 6-0 win over Brooks.

The Flames get back to match play on March 12 as part of their spring trip in Miami, Florida, where they take on Barry University at 10 a.m.
