Des Moines, Iowa - The UIC women's tennis team suffered a 5-2 loss on the road at Drake on Sunday.

Kristen McPhillips and Lubica Nadasska teamed up in doubles at the first slot to defeat Drake's top pair of Veronika Leszayova and Sarah Plowman 8-6.

In singles action, McPhillips breezed through her third singles position win in straight sets, downing Irina Kalashnikova 6-4, 6-3.

Grace Gill-Morlis picked up the other singles victory for the Flames, easily winning over Sarah Plowman, 6-2, 6-1 at No. 4 singles.

The UIC women's tennis team will face off against in-state rival Illinois State for the first home match of the 2008 season on Saturday, March 8 at Oak Lawn at 3 p.m.
