Women's Tennis Blanks UW-Milwaukee, 7-0

Evergreen Park, Ill.- The UIC women's tennis team extended their winning streak to three matches on Friday with a 7-0 shutout of Horizon League rival UW-Milwaukee at the Evergreen Racquet and Fitness Center. The Flames (4-4, 2-0 Horizon League) evened their overall record at four while extending their league dual match winning streak under head coach Shannon Tully to 31 straight victories. UW-Milwaukee dropped to 0-7 on the season and 0-2 in league play. The Flames captured every singles match in two sets, posting three 6-0, 6-0 victories in the process and losing a mere three games all day. The doubles side was equally dominant for UIC, with scores of 8-1, 8-1, and 8-2 posted in favor of the Flames. Virginia Palshmitaite made her Flames debut, teaming with Grace Gill-Morliss to capture a doubles win.
