    Chicago, Ill.- The University of Illinois at Chicago women's tennis team returned to form on Saturday, sweeping the singles slate en route to a 7-0 victory over Ball State at the UIC Indoor Courts.

    The Flames (3-4) snapped a three-match losing streak with the win.

    UIC went 6-0 in singles play, getting individual wins from Beatriz Cabrera, Ayca Gumuscu, Iris Jaklin, Corey Steven, Melanie Humphrey and Molly Smith.

    Cabrera faced one of her toughest tests to date in Ball State's Melissa Roach, who narrowly grabbed the first set with a 6-7(4) win. But Cabrera fought back and easily took the next two sets, 6-3, 6-2.

    UIC took two of three doubles matches to earn the doubles point.

    The Flames are back in action next Friday, February 27th for their Horizon League opener against Butler at the UIC Indoor Courts starting at 1 p.m.
