DES MONIES, IOWA - The UIC women's tennis team was defeated by Iowa State on Saturday at Ames Racquet and Fittness' indoor tennis center.

Elena Antakova put up a hard fought battle in her singles match. Antakova came back to take the second set in a tiebreaker, but lost the match in the next set (6-3, 6-7 (4-7), (10-3)).

The Flames lost the match 7-0, ending their three-match winning streak.

UIC will look to get back on track when they take on Drake on Sun. Feb. 7 at 9 a.m. in Des Moines, Iowa.
