Women's Tennis Sweeps Valparaiso
Flames don't drop a set to the Crusaders.
Feb. 5, 2000 Oak Park, Ill. - The UIC women's tennis team made quick work of Valparaiso Saturday night, sweeping the Crusaders, 9-0, at the Oak Park-River Forest Racquet Club.
"It was great to have the support out here we had today," Head Coach Mary Dailey said of the many supporters who attended the match. "I think it gave us that extra push to really go out and perform tonight."
The Flames didn't drop a set to the Crusaders and gave up no more than two games in any set.
Jacki Farr, who moved up to compete in the No. 1 singles match, won her third consecutive match with a 6-2, 6-0 win over Patricia Arakaki.
