Chicago, Ill. - UIC senior Andrea Giczewski was named the Horizon League Female Swimmer of the Week for the period ending November 12th, the league office announced on Tuesday.

The senior captain won the 50-yard freestyle for the fourth-straight time this season with a season-best effort of 24.18 at the double-dual meet against Butler, Milwaukee and North Dakota at the UIC Natatorium on November 10th.

Giczewski also won the 100-yard freestyle (52.65) for the third time this year, and led off the victorious 400-yard freestyle relay with a split of 52.52.

This is the second league honor Giczewski has earned this season.

The Flames swimming and diving squad will next head down to Saint Louis to take on the Bilikins on Saturday, November 17th at 2:30 p.m.
