Chicago, Ill. - UIC freshman Will Ikeda was named the Horizon League Swimmer of the Week for the period ending November 11, the league office announced on Wednesday.

The Skokie, Ill. native set a pair of new Klotsche Pool records on the road at Milwaukee last Saturday, winning both the 100 (58.09) and 200 (2:07.32) breaststroke against the Panthers and North Dakota in the Flames second meet of the weekend. UIC defeated both Milwaukee and North Dakota.

On Friday, Ikeda's runner-up finishes in the 50 (26.48) and 100 (58.17) breaststroke guided the Flames past North Dakota at the UIC Natatorium, winning the dual 179-115.

Ikeda currently has the fastest time in the league in the 200 breaststroke and has the third- fastest time in the 100 breast event.

The Flames will face Northwestern and University of Chicago in Evanston this Saturday at 1:00 p.m.
