Chicago, Ill. - University of Illinois at Chicago swimming and diving coach Paul Moniak announced on Thursday that seniors Paul Torres, Julie-Anne Chico and Shannon Joseph have been named team captains for the upcoming 2001-02 season.

"They are all three seniors that will offer great leadership for the rest of the squad," Moniak said. "They embody the true meaning of what a student-athlete is."

UIC will kick off its season on October 20th, as they will travel to DeKalb, to take on the Northern Illinois Huskies at 5:00 p.m.
