Chicago, Ill. - The UIC men's and women's swimming and diving teams, coached by Paul Moniak, were recently named Academic All-American by the College Swimming Coaches Association of America.

The men's team has an average GPA of 3.08, while the women's team sits at 3.17.

During the spring semester in the classroom, the Flames were led by Mike Borge, Matt Huffman, Joe Scharnak and Ted Slowik, while the women were paced by Stephanie Donovan, Jamie Morris and Maria Ortiz.
