Chicago, Ill. - University of Illinois at Chicago head women's swimming and diving coach Paul Moniak announced today the signing of Aisha Williams to a National Letter of Intent to compete for the Flames.

Williams, who is originally from south suburban Richton Park, is finishing up her studies at St. Francis High in Sacramento, California.

A swift sprinter, Williams will be called upon to aid in the loss of five graduating seniors.

"With all that we are losing to graduation, we needed to find someone to help fill those shoes," said Moniak. "We are on our way with the signing of Aisha."

Williams has posted some excellent times for St. Francis, including 1:00.60 in the 100-yard butterfly, 25.01 in the 50-yard freestyle and 54.8 in the 100-yard freestyle.
