WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - UIC divers Mike Greco, Connor Howard and Whitney Johnson concluded competition Thursday on the men's 1-meter and women's 3-meter boards at the 2013 NCAA Zone C Diving Championship at the Boilermaker Aquatic Center.

"The divers did ok today," head diving coach Susan Bromberg said.  "The competition is the toughest that they have seen all year."

While competing in prelims of the 1-meter, Greco produced a score of 265.30 and Howard came in with a score of 252.55, as the two finished with respective finishes of 31st and 37th place.

"I was very proud of how both Mike (Greco) and Connor (Howard) finished their 1-meter events with solid dives," Bromberg added.  "They started off a little shaky but regained their composure and finished strong."

Johnson took to the prelims of the 3-meter, where she came away with a score of 201.20 for 53rd place.

"Last year, Whitney (Johnson) did not compete in the 3-meter event, and she looked a little out of sorts," said Bromberg.  "I am looking forward to seeing her compete on 1-meter tomorrow, which is her stronger event."

The trio return to the boards tomorrow, when Greco and Howard move to the 3-meter and Johnson takes to the 1-meter.
