    West Lafayette, Ind.- University of Illinois at Chicago sophomores Ryan Fitzer, Mark Pappalardo and Sarah Economides capped off their fantastic seasons on the boards at the 2005 NCAA Zone C Diving Championships this weekend at the Boilermaker Aquatics Center.

    Fitzer completed his first go-around at Zone competition with a 244.35 in the three-meter diving prelims to rank 23rd overall. He then posted a 210.85 in the men's one-meter preliminaries, finishing 24th.

    Pappalardo, competing in his second straight Zone C championship, rounded out his year with a 203.00 on the three-meter board for 31st place and a 180.55 in the one-meter competition to place 33rd.

    Economides, making her NCAA Zone C debut, finished 39th in the women's three-meter event with a 154.60 and took 36th in the one-meter preliminaries with a score of 174.70.

    This season marked the second consecutive year that UIC sent three divers to Zone C competition.
