    Day Two Final Results Get Acrobat Reader

    CLEVELAND, Ohio- Day two of the Horizon League Championships concluded with the UIC men’s swimming and diving team in third with 203 points, and the women’s squad in fifth with 171 points.

    On the men’s side, Mike Reed (20.60) and Joel Demuth (20.68) finished sixth and seventh, respectively, in the 50 freestyle.

    The 400 medley relay team consisting of Demuth, Sebastian Ostrowski, Kei Ishimaru and Conor Ozog took fifth with a time of 3:18.03 in the finals.

    The women’s team had Whitney Johnson take fourth on the one-meter board with a final score of 269.50, and Kristi Carling finish closely behind in fifth with a score of 238.95.

    Melanie Waszak took third in the 500 free clocking in at 4:54.98. Kelsey Millin’s time of 2:05.76 was good for seventh place in the 200 IM. Monica Pinkus placed seventh in the 50 free with a final time of 23.71.

    Pinkus, Waszak and Millin were joined by Anne Jacobsen in the 400 medley relay for a third place finish with a time of 3:45.62.

    Friday’s schedule of events include men’s and women’s 400 IM, 100 fly, 200 free, 100 breaststroke, 100 backstroke, 800 free relay and men’s one-meter diving. Preliminary rounds begin in 9 a.m. (CT), with finals streaming live (www.horizonleague.org) starting at 4:30 p.m.
