Chicago, Ill. - Underclassmen Aisha Williams and Caitlin Carey each picked up a pair of victories, as the University of Illinois at Chicago women's swimming and diving squad earned the 131-88 victory over Valparaiso at the UIC Natatorium on Friday night.

Williams picked up wins in both the 50-yard freestyle (25.5) and 100-yard butterfly (1:01.61), while Carey swept the diving events with a 240.75 on the 1-meter board and a 263.75 on the 3-meter board.

"It's nice to get a win leading into the Horizon League championships which are three weeks away," UIC head coach Paul Moniak said. "We had some unexpected performances tonight that really came through for us."

Other individual victories for the Flames included: Jamie Redway (1,000-yard freestyle, 10:41.28), Kim Jagodzinski (200-yard freestyle, 2:00.26), Vanessa Segovia (200-yard IM, 2:15.97), Laura Martensen (500-yard freestyle, 5:15.63) and Alicia Perry (1:10.92).

The women also dominated the relay events, sweeping both the 200-yard medley (1:54.36) and 200-yard freestyle relay (1:44.51).
