    Final Stats

    CHICAGO, Ill. - The UIC swimming and diving teams swept Valparaiso at the UIC Natatorium on Saturday.

    The men's team defeated the Crusaders 159-69, while the women won 143-76.

    The Flames took first in 20 events, including multi-event winners McKinzie Jacobs (1650 and 200 free), Emily Gniatczyk (50 free and 100 fly), Evan Dunn (200 free and 100 fly), and Andrew Schmitt (200 IM and 100 back).

    Other winners on the day were Clair Martin (200 IM), Alexandra Farrar (100 back), Hannika Schleebs (100 free), Luke Martinez (1650 free), Steve Yemm (50 free), and Mark Kalafut (100 free).

    Prior to today's meet UIC athletics and the swimming and diving coaching staff honor seven seniors for their hard work and dedication to the swimming and diving program. They were Shaina Israel, Kayla Redig, Brenden Dougherty, Mike Hare, Andy Peterson, Marc Sarran, and Rahul Singh.

     

     

    The Flames will finish the regular season when they travel to Cleveland, Ohio to take on Cleveland State and Youngstown State on Saturday Feb. 6 at 11 a.m.
