    Milwaukee, Wis.- Andrea Giczewski continued to excel in the sprint-free events for the Flames, placing second in the 50-yard freestyle to lead the UIC women's swimming and diving team at the 16th annual Bill Ritter Invitational on Friday night.

    Giczewski swam a runner-up time of :24.50 in the 50 free.

    Courtney Eck led UIC in the 200 IM with a time of 2:16.88, followed closely by Jessica Daurd's 2:17.29.

    Shaina Israel finished the 500 free in a team-leading 5:19.53.

    UIC's 200 free relay quartet of Kelly Hyatt, Colleen Dougherty, Emily Biancalana and Giczewski teamed up to finish the event in 1:38.70, placing second overall.

    The Flames were in fourth place after a day of action with a score of 185.

    The Flames finish competition at the Bill Ritter Invitational on Saturday night.
