    Swimming & Diving Highlights Successful Season At Awards Banquet

    The UIC men's and women's swimming & diving teams held their annual awards banquet and brunch Sunday at the Holiday Inn - Mart Plaza, where they acknowledged the 2012-13 season achievements and named the 2013-14 team captains.

    SAAC Announces Officers for 2013-14 Academic Year

    UIC's Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) recently announced its officers for the 2013-14 academic year. Volleyball player MaryKate Imrie will remain as SAAC President, while swimmer Anne Jacobsen and volleyball player Sara Sternard were voted in as Vice President and Secretary, respectively. Elections were held at SAAC's end-of-the-year meeting last week as the committee concluded activities for year.

    Ten UIC Student-Athletes Named to HL All-Academic Teams

    Ten UIC student-athletes were named to the Horizon League's Winter Academic All-League Teams, it was announced by League officials from their Indianapolis headquarters Monday. The Flames' 10 selections ranked third in the Horizon League.

    Diving Ends Competition At NCAA Zone C Championship

    UIC divers Mike Greco, Connor Howard and Whitney Johnson brought their season to a close Friday, as they concluded the NCAA Zone C Diving Championship at Purdue's Boilermaker Aquatic Center after competing in the men's 3-meter and women's 1-meter.

    Mike Greco, Connor Howard and Whitney Johnson make their way to West Lafayette, Ind., to compete at the 2013 NCAA Zone C Diving Championship, running Thursday through Saturday. Hosted by Purdue, competition gets underway with prelims at 9 a.m. (CT) and finals at noon Thursday and Friday at the Boilermaker Aquatic Center.
