    CHICAGO- The UIC softball program welcomed back a group of its former players Sept. 12, hosting an alumni game.

    Twenty-five alumni, ranging in graduation year from 1988 to 2009 came out to Flames Field for the event. Many of the alumni were quick to recognize the new developments in the area around the field, and said they are a stark contrast to the former Maxwell Street area.

    The UIC softball alumni game will be an annual event, with next year’s edition set for Saturday, Sept. 11, 2010.
