    CHICAGO - A jubilant return for past UIC softball players is in store on Saturday, September 12 as Flames Field plays host to Alumni Day, beginning at noon.

    After the 2010 Flames squad concludes a scrimmage, returning alum will take to the field in a slow pitch game. Over 20 alum covering a wide span of the program's history will be in attendance. Food and drink will be available at the conclusion of the alumni slobberknocker.

    "After last year's rainout, we are very much looking forward to having our program's alumni return to campus on Saturday," said head coach Michelle Venturella. "To have our current team see those who have succeeded before them, and those who built the strong tradition of excellence is crucial to the success of this program."
