Chicago, Ill. - The UIC softball team announced its fall 2008 schedule on Friday, revealing three preseason tests for the squad under new Head Coach Michelle Venturella.

The Flames will play a doubleheader on September 13th at noon against Lakeland Community College, the lone home match of the fall slate. Admission is free for the day, which will serve as an Alumni Day for the program.

On the following weekend, UIC will head downstate to the Illinois Collegiate Softball Championships, held on the campus of Illinois State in Normal. On Saturday, September 20th, the Flames will face Western Illinois at 2:30 p.m., followed by sister school Illinois at 5:00 p.m.

The final fall test for the Flames will be in Evanston at the Northwestern Round Robin on Saturday, October 4. UIC will meet up with host Northwestern at 10 a.m., followed by Illinois State at noon.
