CHICAGO – UIC head softball coach Michelle Venturella will hold an 11-week catcher’s clinic for athletes ages 8-18 every Tuesday beginning Sept. 2 and continuing through Nov. 11 from 6 p.m. CT to 7 p.m. at Flames Field.

“We are excited to continue our fall catcher’s clinics," Venturella said. "It has been great to have new catchers each year, as well as to see how some of the kids who have been coming for a few years have continued to develop. We have a lot of fun while getting better at such an important position in the game of softball. We are looking forward to getting started on September 2nd.”

Each session will focus on the elements of catching, ranging from blocking and throwing to framing and calling a game.

Registration is available on a first-come, first-serve basis. There are 12 spots available for each session and participants may sign up for as many weeks as they desire or one week at a time. As soon as each week is filled, the sessions will be closed.

If you have any questions, please contact Venturella at or 312-355-2775.
