Chicago, Ill. - 'Showdown Saturday' will have to wait a week as forecasted heavy rains caused the postponement of this afternoon's pivotal Horizon League softball contest between UIC and league-leading Loyola at Flames Field.

The game will be made up on Saturday, May 4, with the first pitch slated for 1:00 p.m.

The Flames, who are currently 8-2 in league play, are two games behind the undefeated Ramblers (8-0) in the latest Horizon League standings.

UIC will now await to see if 'Mother Nature' allows a trip to Green Bay, Wis., tomorrow where they are scheduled to play the Phoenix at 1:00 p.m.
