UIC Softball To Offer Clinics|

CHICAGO - Head softball coach Michelle Venturella, along with assistant coaches, Sami Baugh and Eileen Canney will be offering clinics during the 2012 summer. Venturella's camp focuses on catching, while Baugh and Canney will hone in on hitting and pitching, respectively.
Head UIC softball coach and former USA Olympic catcher, Venturella's camp is for ages eight to 18, and runs from Tues., June 19 through Thurs., June 21, from 9:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. at Flames Field in Chicago, Ill. Contact Coach Venturella at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Flames Field is the home of the 1999, 2001 and 2004 Horizon League Championship, as well as the 1999 NCAA Region VIII Championship, the first NCAA Regional played in the Windy City. It is inside this facility campers will receive fundamental instruction on receiving, blocking, throwing, pop-ups, along with invaluable experience for future softball success.
Baugh, UIC hitting coach, will be offering a three-day hitting clinic this summer from Tues., June 19 through Thurs., June 21. Athletes will perform specialized drills to enhance their hitting fundamentals under the adept guidance of Coach Baugh, other trainers, as well as UIC softball players. Registration is at 12:30 p.m. on June 19, and all three days the clinic will run from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m.
The clinic will be located at Flames Field, and in the case of inclement weather, the auxiliary location will be UIC's indoor hitting facility, which is inside the Physical Education Building.
