Chicago, Ill. - The UIC softball team heads to Lincoln Park on Thursday afternoon to face No. 22 DePaul at Cacciatore Stadium at 4 p.m. CST.

The Blue Demons lead the series, 42-29. UIC fell to DePaul in both contests in 2007.

UIC is looking to extend a six-game winning streak that started in its opening weekend of league play against Butler on March 30. Since then, the Flames have swept Green Bay and Youngstown State to take first place in the Horizon League.

In five games last week, Sarah Clynes recorded a .474 batting average (9-for-19) with seven runs, three doubles, nine RBI and two home runs. Clynes also posted a 1.84 ERA in three wins. The junior fanned 16 batters in 19.0 innings pitched and allowed just five earned runs.

No. 22 DePaul is coming off a two-game sweep over BIG EAST foe St. John's on April 6 in New York. The Blue Demons are led by Amber Patton with a .385 batting average with 42 hits. Sandy Vojik owns a team-high 19 runs, seven doubles, three doubles, 14 RBI and six home runs.

UIC hosts Valparaiso in a three-game set this weekend at Flames Field on April 12 and 13. Both days are set to start at 1 p.m. CST.
