Chicago, Ill. - The UIC softball team hosts Green Bay in a doubleheader at Flames Field on Wednesday, April 2 at 4 p.m.

The Flames (11-21) lead the series against the Phoenix, 42-12. UIC's three-game series against Green Bay was canceled in 2007 due to cold weather and snowy conditions in Wisconsin.

UIC's Ashlee Ackerman leads the squad with a .333 batting average. Ackerman ranks second in the league with 34 hits.

Sarah Clynes has totaled six doubles and six home runs on the season. Clynes also paces the Flames in the circle with 68 strikeouts, four shutouts and seven wins in 105.0 innings pitched.

The doubleheader against UIC marks Green Bay's opening day of Horizon League action. The Phoenix (6-10) are coming off two loses to Siena and Manhattan College in the Rebel Spring Games in Orlando last week.

The Flames travel to Ohio on April 5 and 6 for a three-game series versus Youngstown State.
