Chicago, Ill - The UIC softball team stayed put at No. 20 in the USA Today/NFCA Coaches Division I Top-25 poll released this morning.

The Flames, who have been ranked in the Top-25 all season and as high as No. 17, went 7-3 last week, advancing to the semifinals of the Clearwater Parks and Recreation Tournament after going undefeated in pool play.

UIC tallied victories over UMass (7-5, 8 inn.), Northern Illinois (10-0), Florida International (3-2), Penn (10-2), Tennessee Tech (2-0), Western Kentucky (2-1) and Canisius (7-1), while falling to UMass (4-2), North Carolina (5-3) and Minnesota (2-1).

Mike McGovern's crew is back in action this weekend at the Holiday Inn Buzz Classic in Atlanta, Ga.. The Flames kick off the tournament with Middle Tennessee State on Friday, March 24, at 5:00 p.m.
