Chicago, Ill. - UIC sophomore Sarah Clynes has notched her second Horizon League Pitcher of the Week honors in three weeks, announced by the league office on Tuesday morning.

Clynes previously picked up the honors on February 20 after recording a 2-1 mark in the circle at the Alexis Resort Classic.

The 2006 Horizon League Newcomer of the Year was 1-2 last weekend at the UTC Frost Classic in Chattanooga, Tenn., March 2-4.

In three appearances, the sophomore totaled 15 strikeouts in 19.0 innings pitched.
