CHICAGO – Junior Natalie Hernandez went 2-for-3 at the plate for UIC during the series finale against Green Bay. The Phoenix won the final game of the three-game outing 9-1 at Flames Field.

Offense proved to be the difference as Green Bay collected 11 hits to UIC’s seven on the day.

In addition to Hernandez’s two hits, five UIC members added a hit, including sophomore Erica Hampton who earned the only RBI of the contest for the Flames.

Senior Devin Miller started inside the circle and pitched 3.2 innings, before freshman Bridget Boyle relieved the veteran to pitch the final 1.1 innings.

UIC resumes conference play Saturday in a doubleheader against Detroit at Noon (CT), followed by a single game Sunday at Noon.
