2003 Notes: Saw action in 28 games as a rookie, making 15 starts…batted .167 (6-for-36) with one double and three RBI…collected her first career hit and drove in a season-high two runs in the Flames’ 10-0 victory over IPFW on Feb. 21st at the New Mexico State Tournament…drove in a run with a single in UIC’s win over Detroit on April 12th. Prep Notes: Two-year varsity letterwinner at Homewood-Flossmoor High School in Flossmoor, Ill…helped the Vikings to four consecutive SICA-East titles, including regional titles in both her junior and senior seasons…earned all-conference accolades after her junior and senior years…her Viking squad fell in the 2002 sectional final to now teammates Brittany McIntyre and Meghan Gallagher’s Sandburg squad…was honored as an all-area recipient after a junior campaign in which she hit .469 with 36 RBI…batted .420 as a senior with three home runs…named academic all-conference her final two seasons…a National Honor Society member and Illinois State Scholar.
