Prep Notes: Four-year softball varsity letterwinner at Carl Sandburg High School in Orland Park, Ill…was named SICA West All-Conference in 1999, 2000, and 2001…took the Sandburg Eagles to conference and regional championships her freshman year…she also helped her team to regional and sectional championships the next three years of her career…her team took fourth in state in 1999, third in state in 2000, and second in state in 2001…owned every Sandburg pitching record her junior year…All-Area honoree her sophomore and junior years…Third-Team All-State honoree her junior year…she did just as well academically being named an Illinois State Scholar and earing a spot on the SICA West All-Academic team her junior and senior years…also lettered two years in conference-winning seasons for the Carl Sandburg basketball team.
