    UIC To Begin Horizon League Tournament

    UIC enters the tournament as the No. 3 seed.

    AS A SENIOR (2012): Split her time between the pitching circle and pinch hitter ... named to the College Sports Madness Second Team selection ... appeared in 44 games, while starting 40 of them ... played 35 games inside the pitching circle ... pitched 149.2 innings, where she blanked 126 batters ... posted an 11-13 record (3.65 ERA) for UIC ... in 94 at-bats, she totaled a .255 batting average, including four home runs and seven doubles ... collected 43 total bases and 17 RBI ... totaled a .457 slugging percentage and .372 on-base percentage.

    AS A JUNIOR (2011): Named to the Horizon League all-tournament team, while being selected as the MVP ... earned the Horizon League Batting Champion Award en route to leading the Flames to the 2011 Horizon League Championship ... played in 44 games on the season, while starting 43 contests ... compiled an 8-6 record in 68 innings of work inside the circle ... earned a .260 batting average, with a .417 slugging percentage ... in 127 at-bats, she recorded 10 runs and 33 hits ... she posted five doubles, five home runs and 25 RBI ... had a season-high seven-game hitting streak between March 12 and March 27 ... had seven multi-hit games ... hit a pair of home runs in an 11-3 victory over Southern Illinois on March 12.

    AS A SOPHOMORE (2010): Season highlighted by a five-inning, 12 strikeout no-hitter at Detroit on May 1 ... named Horizon League Player of the Week, May 3 after surrendering eight hits and fanning 24 over 18.1 innings of work against Northwestern, Loyola and Detroit the week of April 28-May 2 ... improved batting average in league play to .313 with five home runs and 20 RBI, the second-most on the team ... posted an 11-inning win against Green Bay (April 21) striking out 11 and picking up one earned run, while driving in the walk-off run with her first hit of the day ... compiled 11 multi-hit contests, with six being against league foes ... knocked a pair of doubles against Massachusetts in the opening weekend of the season on Feb. 13 ... 296 career strikeouts after two seasons ranks ninth in program history. AS A FRESHMAN (2009): Horizon League all-first team and all-newcomer team selection ... started in 44 of 45 games, splitting time between the circle and the outfield ... ranks 10th in single-season strikeouts in the career record books with 158 and made the seventh-most appearances (39) in a season in UIC history ... posted a 1.97 ERA in league play, going 9-1 with 75 strikeouts in 15 appearances ... picked up first career save against Butler on March 21 ... held league opponents to a .226 average ... season-best 12 strikeouts against Green Bay on April 16 ... claimed the team's second-highest batting average overall (.336), as well as in league play (.393) ... drove in a season-high four RBI in the opening round of the Horizon League Championship against Green Bay ... highest batting average for a freshman starter since former All-American Amanda Rivera in 2001 ... drove in 11 runs off of 22 hits in 19 league contests.
