    Softball Ends Season with 5-4 (8) Loss to Valpo

    Flames finish third in Horizon League Championship

    AS A SENIOR (2014): One of three to start all 44 games ... hit the game-winning two-run double to defeat Eastern Illinois (02/07), 4-3, in the Flames' first game of the season ... had six multi-hit games with at least one hit in 13 of UIC's last 14 games ... owned a .429 batting average in the Wright State series (04/05-06) and .500 average in Oakland's three-game series (05/03-04) ... tallied two doubles in game one against North Dakota (04/08) ... produced the Flames' second-most doubles (10) and RBI (30) ... tied a single-season best with four homers ... went on an eight-game hit streak to end the season from April 29 to May 9 ... knocked in a total of eight RBI in the Oakland series (05/03-04) ... received the Defensive Player Award after an impressive showing at the Horizon League Championship (05/07-09)

    AS A JUNIOR (2013):
    Started and played in 42 games ... primarily played in left field, where she maintained a 1.000 fielding percentage ... she had five multi-hit games, including a three-hit game against Michigan State on Feb. 16, 2012 ... she was named the Horizon League "Hitter of the Week" on March 18, 2012 ... the honor followed her performance at the Hoosier Classic (March 15-16) ... Heeley hit .444 with three RBI, a 778 slugging percentage, collected three runs, including her first home run

    AS A SOPHOMORE (2012): Played right field, while also pinch hitting at times ... posted the second-highest on-base percentage with .433 ... the second-highest slugging percentage on the team at .485 ... named the College Sports Madness Athlete of the Week on April 23 ... played in 46 games, started in 41 contests ... compiled a .313 batting average ... in 99 at-bats, she had 20 runs and 31 hits ... chipped in 19 RBI ... had five doubles and four home runs
