Prep/Personal: Four-year letterwinner in the circle for Marian... named team MVP after recording a 1.50 ERA with 231 strikeouts in 215.1 innings in 2008, finishing her senior campaign with a 28-4 record...guided Marian to the state tournament on a 29-5 ledger for the 2008 season, winning the Northern Indiana Conference title, as well as the sectional and regional championships along the way...lead the team in saves during her junior year after hurling 112 strikeouts in 96 innings for a 1.76 ERA...named Second-Team All State, NIC first-team, and the Kiwanis Athlete of the Month in 2008...set the school record in most career wins as well as career strikeouts...also played on the basketball team at MHS...born April 16, 1990...daughter of Scott and Melanie DeFord...undecided on a major.
