The UIC softball team (12-21) was held to four hits Tuesday (April 22) in a 3-1 loss to IUPUI (19-17) at Flames Field. The Flames left two runners on base in the fifth and sixth innings as IUPUI's Cassie Vodde prevented a UIC comeback.

The matchup will mark the fifth all-time meeting between the two teams and the first since UIC Hall of Famer Amanda Rivera was named head coach of the Jaguars in 2012.
The UIC softball team (12-20, 6-6 HL) was unable to come back on Senior Day after Detroit (5-34, 1-8 HL) scored nine runs in the first two innings to take a 9-6 win on Saturday at Flames Field. Seniors Jacki Fletcher, Courtney Heeley, Natalie Hernandez and Jenna Marsalli each had at least one hit in the game, while Hernandez and Heeley both homered to contribute to the Flames' 19 home runs this season.
The UIC softball team (12-19, 6-5 HL) came away with two Horizon League wins on Friday as it bested Detroit (4-34, 0-8 HL), 6-3, in game one and came back to finish the doubleheader with a 7-6 walk-off victory at Flames Field. Senior Jenna Marsalli had two hits in each game, including a two-run homer in game two, while sophomore Laura Swan cranked the game-winning solo home run to close out competition.
The UIC softball team (10-19, 4-5 HL) welcomes Detroit (4-32, 0-6 HL) to Flames Field for a three-game series beginning on Friday with a doubleheader at 2 p.m. CT and a single game on Saturday at noon. The Flames will additionally honor their four seniors on Saturday for Senior Day.
After a 90 minute rain delay at Viking Field on Monday, the UIC softball team (10-19, 4-5 HL) got its first game against Cleveland State (19-13, 3-3 HL) underway but suffered a 5-1 defeat before having its second game cancelled due to persistent rain. The Flames were outhit 10-4 by the Vikings, with Paige Peterson, Jacki Fletcher, Jenna Marsalli and Laura Swan each tabbing a hit.
