    2011 UIC Softball Catching Camp


    Ages 8-18

    Location: UIC Softball Field - Chicago, IL

    Dates: June 21-June 23, 2011

    Starts: 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.

    Camp Cost: $165.00

    Join UIC Head Coach and former USA Olympic catcher, Michelle Venturella, as she teaches the elements of the catching position. Learn everything from the fundamentals of receiving, blocking, throwing, pop ups and much more as well as understand the strategy of the game.

    Players receive:

    • 3 days of elite professional instruction
    • Opportunity to meet, learn and be evaluated by current UIC Coaches and Players.
    • Invaluable experience for future softball success

    • Strategy: How to Call a Game

     

     

    Equipment: Please bring your catching gear, glove, cleats and regular shoes if we go inside due to weather.

     

    Facilities: The lit softball field, which offers a breathtaking view of the Chicago skyline, features a working press box, an inning-by-inning scoreboard, seating for 500 spectators, a concession stand and heated restrooms.
