Women's Soccer Camps Now Open for Registration|
April 16, 2013
CHICAGO- The inaugural UIC Women's Soccer Camps are now open for registration. Head coach Brian Rigby and assistant coach Juliana Zavala will host a pair of overnight/commuter summer sessions on the UIC campus, located on the near west side of Chicago. The first camp session will run from June 27-30, and the second session will be held from July 22-25.
The camps are geared toward girls who are entering grades 9-12. To reserve your spot online, please CLICK HERE. A registration packet with complete details is also available for download at the top of this page.
The sessions will include training that replicates game situations - participants will enjoy the opportunity to have plenty of touches on the ball, as well as the chance to practice creativity, improvisation and thought. The ball will be the center piece of every activity.
Position players will work on patterns and movement of the ball, technical work and tactical functional training all within small-to-expanded games concepts. Goalkeepers will utilize a curriculum to hone their keeper skills, along with being incorporated into game-like situations. Every evening, a full-sided 11 vs. 11 competitive game will be played.
For overnight campers, the price will be $515 per session. Commuters can register for $415. As indicated in the registration packet, checks should be made payable to Rigby Soccer Academy. Credit card payments are also accepted by calling the UIC Women's Soccer office at 312-996-3576. For all other questions or concerns, please visit www.uicwomenssoccercamp.com.
