CHICAGO - In the spirit of the holidays the UIC women's gymnastics team shared a bit of good cheer with the Boys and Girls Club of Chicago as they celebrated their annual Christmas party.

On Saturday, December 12, the Flames served holiday treats and participated in games with the children at the Boys and Girls Club.

Every year the team volunteers their time to preparing for the annual Christmas party hosted by the Boys and Girls Club of Chicago. The team assists Santa in handing out gifts and playing games with the children.

The Boys and Girls Club of Chicago enjoys having a group of young people to play and break bread with. The thrill is no less for the Flames.

"The team and I absolutely love going there every year because it gives us a chance to interact with some of the local children," says junior Kayleigh Kremer. "To watch the children leave with a giant smile is a Christmas present."

The Flames look forward to volunteering with the Boys and Girls Club of Chicago throughout the coming year.
