Chicago, Ill. - The women's gymnastics team ranked 10th in the nation academically with a cumulative grade point average of 3.44 announced on Friday. Southern Utah ranked No. 1 nationally with a cumulative GPA of 3.72.

Seven UIC gymnasts were also recognized as Academic All-Americans, including junior Nadia Ori (3.90), freshman Rachel Smith (3.84), junior Amy August (3.81), freshman Nahia Sanzo Ruiz de Azua (3.81), senior Chrissy Johnston (3.78), senior Tina Gregori (3.73) and senior Sara Casica (3.50).
