UIC South Central Regional Senior Diaries April 14, 2007 Tucson, Ariz.- UIC seniors Jessie Jaworowicz, Jessica Panos and Rachael Zelinski check in from the McKale Center just a few hours before the 2007 NCAA South Central Regional Championship in the first edition of UIC South Central Regional Seniors Diaries. Hello! This is Rachael Marie Zelinski, and we are at NCAA Regionals right now in Tucson, Arizona at the University of Arizona. I am very excited to be here. It's such a cool experience when the team gets to make it to NCAAs. It's an opportunity to see some great gymnastics! I've been here four times and I'm so proud of our team for making it again this year to complete my college career. Rachael _______________________________________________________________________
It's Jessie Jaworowicz here at Regionals! We're excited! We're about to start warm-ups, and we're proud that we got this far. We have great things going, and we're ready The trip's been great! Some good weather here. We got to walk outside a little bit today and see the campus, get in some study hours and get ready. We ate lunch as a team (as usual), got prepared to go to the gym and drove over. Jessie _______________________________________________________________________
Hello everyone! It's Jess here. I'm feeling very good today, very strong! I sprained my ankle a couple of weeks ago, and coming back from that was pretty hard, but I made it back for conference. I tied for third on vault, which was a really great accomplishment trying to come back from that, and I just want to do the same here at NCAAs in Tucson. I'm very excited to be here because we came last year, and it was just a great experience. And I did really well on vault and I just want to keep that streak going for my last meet. Jess
