Chicago, Ill.- UIC sophomore Annie Kachman (St. Charles, Mo./St. Charles H.S.) was named the Midwest Independent Conference Gymnast of the Week for the period ending January 16th.

Kachman won the floor exercise with a score of 9.850 while placing second on vault with a 9.650. She also took fourth on beam with a tally of 9.750.

The UIC women's gymnastics team returns to action this Friday night against Midwest Independent rivals Illinois State, Southeast Missouri State and Centenary in Normal, Ill. at 7:00 p.m.
