CHICAGO – The UIC women’s gymnastics team travels to Seattle, Wash., to compete against Washington, UC-Davis, and California Saturday at 9:00 p.m. (CT).

“We are very excited to go back to Washington,” head coach Peter Jansson said. “We haven’t been there since 2004. It should be a closely contested meet based on last week’s results, and we look forward to going up against two Pac-12 schools.”

Senior Chantel Turk led the team on vault (9.85), while sophomore Gabrielle May earned a 9.80 mark on bars. Junior Catherine Dion scored a 9.85 on beam, while sophomore Citlali Cuevas led the Flames on floor at 9.70.

The Huskies enter the meet after falling to No. 23 Minnesota on Jan. 12, 195.550 to 193.500. Lauren Rogers scored a 9.900 on vault, while McKenzie Fechter scored 9.775 on bars and beam. Aliza Vaccher scored a team-high 9.825 on floor, receiving a 38.850 all-around score.
