    Final Stats

    DENVER, Colo. - Freshman Chantel Turk put on a strong performance for the UIC gymnastics team on Saturday evening against Denver at the Hamilton Gymnasium.

    Turk led the Flames on floor with a second place finish, scoring a 9.825 and finished in the top three in the all-around with a score of 38.900.

    Turk also posted UIC’s best scores on vault (9.800) and bars (9.725).

    Andrea Skala rounded out the day for the Flames with a fourth place finish in the all-round tallying up 38.800 points.

    The Flames scored a total of 193.650 points, but were edged out by the Pioneers by less than three points.

    The Flames will travel to Normal, Ill. to participate in the Illinois Classic on Saturday March 20 at 5 p.m.
