Women's Gymnastics Concludes Three-Team Meet|

CHAMPAIGN, Ill. – Senior Chantel Turk paced the Flames on vault, parallel bars and floor Sunday in a meet against Illinois and Ball State in Champaign, Ill. The Illini captured first place with a 196.300, followed by Ball State (193.500) and UIC at 192.625.
Turk led UIC in three of the four events and was the top UIC finisher for all-around with a 39.100. On the vault, the Flames posted a 48.250 and Turk finished third with a 9.825. She then placed third on the parallel bars with a 9.800 as the team captured a 48.750 total.
Catherine Dion was the top finisher for the Flames on the beam with a 9.675 for a seventh-place finish. The team totaled a 46.875. Dion and Turk were then part of a three-way tie for third place on the floor exercise with a 9.875, while UIC compiled a 48.750.
Turk claimed fourth place in the all-around with a 39.100 score.
The Flames next play host to the Illinois State Classic Saturday at 5:00 p.m. The meet features Illinois, Illinois State and Northern Illinois and will take place inside the Physical Education Building.
